I have decided to deliver unit 11 alongside project management (mainly because a have not got a clue about flash!!). I was just wondering if anyone out there can give me advice on ideas for projects/delivery? All I can really come up with is the idea of a student tracking system to record grades etc.. I know i could get a spreadsheet from this topic which would be complex enough to meet the criteria. I am tempted to give this one project to all my students. Any advice would be much appreciated.

PS I have written a load of guidance/support sheets for this unit and would be happy to share/exchange ideas!!! 

I have decided to go for unit 11 for the same reason as you. We did the multi-media unit last year but the teacher that did it is leaving and I dont feel confident enough to carry it on.

You are further ahead than I am as, with everything else going on, I have not had enough time to look at it yet and will have to do so during the break. (Who ever had the idea that the next few weeks would be a holiday?)

I would be eternally grateful for any help that you could give me and would be more than happy to share anything with you (as and when I manage to produce it ! )

Hi Dear Fellows Its nice to hear from so many people about use of Unit 11 along with project management as it makes logical combination. But the important thing is lack of resources available and ideas which could be fruitful as projects for students. Please share the resources if soemone really have one.  I did Unit 11 last year first time for much the same reasons as others quoted here. Two students did p&l accounts & balance sheets and raw data feeding in. This was in conjunction with small family businesses so they got a lot of helpful input to the projects. A third student did a multicurrency expenses spreadsheet and a fourth student developed a spreadsheet idea based around a service to help choose wedding services.

 These came about after some brainstorming sessions and a couple of visits to small companies. The first projects also fitted in nicely with Business Studies.

 
My advice is start early - it all got a bit rushed at the end but the students got good grades.
