I have prepared the candidates to evaluate the likely accuracy of the data supplied (the text file plus all the other information in the scenario) and the usefulness (ie - how is it used in the model to assist with the solution).  You do not need the source, but they may tell you in the exam what it is.  Evaluate the datafile in terms of current situation, geographical context, etc..I have also asked them to suggest any extra information that may have been useful.

We have been getting our students to consider all possible sources such as current bldg regs., research establishments on carbon emmissions, local authorities, etc.  Is anyone else doing this?
