half way through the 10 hours and the wort case has hit us, one poor students file jut will not open.  Tried a rename, different computer, holding down hift the lot.  Acce load and runs ok, but file doe not come up.  Tried open from within Access, with and without shift, nothing, even tried compact and repair...

Looked at it in Excel, all data is there, but Access just ignores it all together!

Any ideas PLEASE!!!!

Have you tried opening a new database and importing the tables from the corrupt .mdb file?  If the data is there and accessible by Excel - that should do the trick.
