Unit 2 - Crack the Code

Does the soundtrack for "Crack the Code" "Level 2" need to be completely original in all parts or can it be copyright frees sounds downloaded from the internet and edited together in a program like audacity?

Alec - we are getting our pupils to create an original soundtrack themselves using http://www.jamstudio.com and then recording the sound file using Audacity. This is the best way around it that we could come up with - my 4 yr old daughter could create something that sounded pretty good (good enough) with only a few mins of tinkering. Regards, Steve

We are also getting our pupils to make their sound tracks themselves by creating it and then recording it with Audacity.  I was told by a visiting moderator that they could use some free sounds but they must edit them.

You can also get free sounds via your Grid.

For Music we're using Acid Xpress - an excellent music loop applications for creating copyright free music. (It's a free download!).
