How can I gain access to the Communities from Edexcel area?

To access Communities from Edexcel, you need to have an Edexcel Online account. To obtain an account, contact the Edexcel Online administrator in your centre.

An Edexcel Online account allows you to contribute to forums for any subject.

How do I get an Edexcel Online account?

You will need to contact the Edexcel Online administrator in your centre to get an account. Please do not contact Edexcel directly to request an account.

What is Edexcel Online?

Edexcel Online is a secure website that can be accessed only by authorised staff at centres that work with Edexcel. It allows our customers to upload, view and amend data on their candidate registrations and entries, to order our publications online and to obtain a full breakdown of their centre’s results for recent examinations - plus many other useful services. For more information, contact the Edexcel Online administrator in your centre.

Why can't I apply for a Community (Edexcel Online) account online?

For the time being, our forums are restricted to teachers from centres that have an Edexcel Online account. Accounts must be set up by Edexcel Online administrators because they also give you access to confidential information about your centre held within Edexcel online. Your account also allows you to access secure content on the Edexcel website that is only available to teachers, and to subscribe to other online services that Edexcel offers, such as email alerts.

How do I log in to the Edexcel Community area?

You can browse all threads and posts without logging in or having an Edexcel Online account, but in order to join a discussion and post a comment, you will need to log in.

Your login details for Communities from Edexcel are the same as for Edexcel Online. If you do not have an Edexcel Online account, please speak to your exams officer.

You can also log in by selecting the 'Sign in' link found in the top right-hand corner of every page.

I’ve already logged in - why am I being asked to log in again?

To keep your account secure, your logged-in status expires after 20 minutes of inactivity on our website. You will be prompted to log in again if you want to contribute further to a forum after that time.

I've forgotten my password. What do I do?

If you are having trouble remembering your Edexcel password, it may help you to recall that it will contain at least one numerical character. If this doesn’t jog your memory, you can request a new password by entering your email address in the ‘forgotten password’ page. (You can also use the ‘forgotten password’ link that appears on every login screen.) We will send a new password to your email address straightaway. When you receive it, we suggest you log in to your account and change the password to something you will remember more easily.

What will Edexcel do with my details?

We will ensure that any personal details you enter when you sign up for Edexcel Online will remain confidential.
